A FREE event, open to all ages: In commemoration of Juneteenth, LANGSTON has partnered with Friends of the Waterfront Seattle to take our “We Out Here” festival to Pier 62 for a free, community-wide celebration. Otherwise known as Emancipation Day, Jubilee Day, or Black Independence Day, Juneteenth commemorates the day that enslaved peoples in Texas were emancipated. What began as celebrations across Texas on June 19, 1865, became a federal holiday observed across the nation in 2021.
Our Juneteenth celebration not only commemorates the emancipation of slavery in the U.S. but also honors Black culture and creates space for the community to come together and experience Black brilliance in various forms.
The event will feature music and performances by JusMoni, Stas Thee Boss, TAQUEET$!, Larry Mizell Jr. and The Mahogany Project, as well as spotlights on local Black businesses.
Dat Creole Soul, Paparepas, All City Ice Cream and The Donut Mama food trucks will be on-site, as well as a COVID-19 vaccination booth available for walk-up vaccinations and boosters.
Friends of Waterfront SeattleFriends of Waterfront Seattle (“Friends”) is the nonprofit partner to the City of Seattle responsible for helping to fund, build, steward, and program Waterfront Park — today and into the future. The first piece of the park — Pier 62 — is now open.

Covid has ruined the travel plans of so many people. Maybe you are one of them. Family trips, honeymoons, first time overseas trips postponed and cancelled. Please explore this directory to create your own Round-the-World experience without traveling far from Seattle.
Believe it or not, in 2022, New York City passed a law granting non-US citizens the right to vote in certain local and municipal elections. Will Seattle follow NYC? Time will tell. If that comes to be, then this directory should be indispensable. Let us know what you think.
Is Seattle missing a comprehensive directory for a cause or community that your business cares about? We know a thing or two about directories. Let’s talk! Contact us below.
